Gastronomie Française Event

Next Tuesday 21st March 2017 , the first day of spring, Ta’ Frenc Restaurant and the whole world will celebrate the Gastronomie Française and the values it inspires: sharing, pleasure, conviviality … thanks to the event Taste of / Good France!

This year the evening “Taste of / Good France” will gather more than 2000 restaurants in 150 countries to celebrate French gastronomy. And this is not near to stop because, following the inscription of the “Gastronomic Meals of the French” on the list of the intangible heritage of UNESCO , the French government decided to organise this event every year on 21 March.

The aim is to use French products and to combine them with local products, all of course accompanied by our good wines. For ‘Good France 2017’ we are serving an exquisite set menu for the price of EUR80 per person.

STARTER
Langoustin tartar flavoured with citrus, Melba toast and caviar
Tartare de langoustines aux senteurs d’agrumes, toasts Melba et caviar

Lightly jellied consomme of chicken from our region, autumn truffles, tarragon and cauliflower puree
Consomme de volaille champenoise en gelee tiede, truffles d’automne et puree de choux fleur a l’estragon

Steamed sea bass fillet with seaweed crust, fennel puree, champagne sauce
Dos de bar cuit vapeur sous croute d’algues, puree de fenouil, jus champagne aux coquillages

Pan fried loin of venison, wild mushrooms crust, avocado puree, candied red peppers, black currant sauce
Dos de chevreuil sous croute de champignons sauvages, puree d’avocats et poivrons confits, jus corse au cassis
